Huntoon Lake is a natural, spring-fed, private, all-sports lake that spans 42 acres. For the outdoor lover, this lake contains a variety of species of fish: bass, bluegill, catfish, crappie, northern pike, perch, and sunfish.

This neighborhood has private ownership of the lake and there is also a shared private beach on the property.

Bald Mountain State Recreation Area is a 4,637-acre park about 12 miles away from Huntoon Lake. This gorgeous park gives visitors plenty of opportunities for hiking trails, swimming in inland lakes, mountain biking, a shooting range, as well as cross-country skiing, and snowmobiling in the winter.

For a fun summer activity, check out Waterford Oaks Waterpark is only 10 minutes down the road. This park is family-friendly and has great reviews.

Oakland County Farmers Market is also a favorite for locals to frequent. This market has local honey, flowers, produce, and snacks for everyone.

If you’re looking for a bird’s eye view, Michigan Helicopters and Magnum Helicopters are both in the area and offer helicopter rides and tours.
