Huckleberry Lake

Located in Oakland County, Michigan

This pond is located two miles south of Clarkston, Michigan, just outside the Detroit metro area. The pond is relatively small and spans a modest five and a half acres.

One of the best parts about this area is that you can get a small-town, peaceful feel while being just 10 minutes from the nearest urgent care and 20 minutes from Detroit Medical Center Huron Valley-Sinai Hospital. The closest airport is Oakland County International Airport, about 15 minutes away.

Due to the lack of development in the area, the species of fish in this lake are unknown as well as boat access and restrictions.

If you’re looking for some fun activities in the area, Shepherd’s Hollow Golf Course is a great way to spend a summer day. Bay Court Park is also close by and offers beautiful grassy areas, a playground, and some shade for a picnic. Indian Springs Metropark is about eight miles away and has a golf course, trails, and a playground.

During the winter, Pine Knob Ski Resort is a perfect place to get out and embrace the frigid Michigan winters. They have 17 ski runs, three snowboard parks, rails, and jumps.
