Lake Holiday is a private community named for the beautiful body of water it sits upon, and the community contains several parks and subdivisions, including Holiday Shores, Royal Hills, Imperial Woods, Wellington Villa, Cambridge Shores, Indian Hills, Sherwood Forest, and Seneca Hills.

Lake Holiday is one of the larger unincorporated communities in the area, with over 360 houses. Lake Holiday can be found five miles southwest of Crawfordsville, off Indiana State Road 47.

The lake itself covers 150 acres and has an average depth of 10 feet with maximum depths up to 20 feet closer to the dam. There are many miles of shoreline along the lake and approximately 16 miles of roadway.

The community of Lake Holiday takes pride in keeping the lake clean and fun for residents to enjoy.

Three beaches are surrounding the lake: Beach 1, Beach 2, and Beach 3. Beach 1 is the primary beach and is located adjacent to the Clubhouse, Beach 2 features an adjoining campground and a boat dock, and Beach 3 is located directly across the lake from the Clubhouse.

Boating, swimming, fishing, and other water sports are enjoyed on Lake Holiday. There is a large marina with 91 boat slips for residents to use.

In addition to lake activities, there are tennis courts, basketball courts, volleyball courts, two playgrounds, nature trails, and many parks.

Of course, if you want to make the hour drive to Indianapolis, you will not be disappointed. Families can visit the Children’s Museum of Indianapolis and the Indianapolis Zoo and enjoy the exhibits, animals, and learning opportunities throughout the zoo.
