About Forest Lake
In the Suburbs of Indianapolis

Forest Lake is a privately owned lake near the city of Avon in Hendricks County, Indiana. This lake is a small, residential lake with only around 14 homes sitting on its shore.

Residents can easily travel to and from Indianapolis due to its short, 15-mile distance from Forest Lake. This makes Forest Lake the perfect spot to escape the busy city, commute, or enjoy life in the suburbs.

Due to this lake’s smaller size, motorized boats are not allowed here. But, fear not, anglers can still fish from the shore and catch a variety of fish including pumpkinseed, largemouth bass, rainbow trout, perch, bullhead, and bream/bluegill.

So, there is no other park you would rather have in your backyard.

A little bit farther up the road is Avon Town Hall Park. This park has plenty to offer as well. With playgrounds, paved trails, picnic tables, an 18-hole disc golf course, ping pong tables, bocce court, and the only free, public outdoor radio control race track in Hendricks County.
