About Seed Lake

Rabun County, Georgia

In Northeast Georgia, between Lake Burton and Lake Rabun, is where you'll find Seed Lake. Around two hours separate you from Atlanta, making it a simple day excursion with many attractions.

On the Lake Fun

With 13 miles of shoreline, Lake Seed offers a wide range of leisure options. Swimming, boating, fishing, and basic camping are available at Seed Campground on this 240-acre lake.

The most popular fish species in the lake are walleye and trout. Other fish in the area include spotted bass, yellow perch, and white catfish.

Summer stratification does not occur in Seed Lake because it is a river-run lake with fast water movement, meaning the temperature remains consistent from shallow to deep.

All of the Blue Ridge Mountains' splendor, unspoiled ecology, and abundant animals can be found at Seed Lake.

Explore Atlanta

Make a day trip out of your visit to Atlanta, with the city slightly under two hours away using I-85 North and U.S. 23 North. Atlanta is home to numerous museums, including the High Museum of Art, the Fernbank Museum and 3D Theater, the Atlanta History Center, the Children's Museum of Atlanta, and others.

It takes only a short drive to reach the Georgia Aquarium. This aquarium, which is renowned for its interactive exhibits, contains around 120,000 creatures. Directly across the street from the Aquarium is the World of Coca-Cola. The most popular aspect of the museum is the Coke tasting room, where visitors may try a range of Coke products from around the globe.

Atlanta is home to numerous entertainment and leisurely activities, as well as shopping outlets and tourist attractions. For our sports fanatics, Atlanta has something for everyone. Football, baseball, basketball, and soccer junkies can enjoy professional sporting franchises such as the Falcons, Braves, Hawks, and United.
