About Lake Spivey
Twenty Miles South of Atlanta

Lake Spivey is Georgia's largest privately owned lake, home to some of the state's most desired lake property and conveniently located just 20 miles south of Atlanta. There you will have access to an endless list of facilities, including the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta Airport.

Nearby Stockbridge has typical city-establishments like hotels, restaurants, stores, and Piedmont Henry Hospital.

Private Community Lake

Initially, Lake Spivey was open to the public for day use and saw as many as 500,000 visitors per year. In 1984 the lake was deeded to the Lake Spivey Civic Association. Now lake use is restricted to residents who live on the lake, making Lake Spivey a very private and much sought after real estate location.

The 500-acre lake with nine miles of shoreline is home to eight residential communities, including Lake Spivey Estates, Lost Valley, Bay View, South Bay, The Landings, Forest Estates, Edgewater, and North Shore.

A Wealth of Activities

Popular activities on the lake include boating, jet skiing, water skiing, wakeboarding, canoeing, kayaking, tubing, fishing, and swimming. There is a permanent slalom water skiing course near the dam that is very popular during the summer months.

Lake Spivey is also a flourishing fishery, being an excellent source of largemouth bass, hybrid striped bass, and large channel catfish. It also holds the Georgia state record for the largest black crappie at four pounds, four ounces.

Lake Spivey's prized amenity is its 18-hole golf course. Other community facilities include tennis courts, a beach, swimming pools, hiking trails, picnic areas, and a fitness center.

With each community having a marina, boat ramp, or docking point, you will have easy access to the lake from any place in the community.

The Excitement of Atlanta

Six Flags, Georgia Aquarium, Atlanta Botanical Garden, Zoo Atlanta, World of Coke, or LEGOLAND Discovery Center are fantastic family outings. It is an excellent source of nightlife with rooftop bars, classy restaurants, lounges, hotels, and entertainment venues to make the perfect night out.

A Recreational Lake with Privacy
