Bruce Erskine is your Lake Blue Ridge expert. Born and raised in Glen Ridge, New Jersey, Bruce came South to attend college, where he played tennis as a D1 athlete and captained his team. While he has always had a love for the outdoors, and all four seasons, the South's natural beauty and relatively mild winters convinced him to stay after college.

Bruce spent 12 years working in sales on the building products side of Georgia-Pacific Corporation in downtown Atlanta. While there, he gained a great deal of knowledge about many of the products used in the home building process. It was also during that time that he discovered the mountains of North Georgia, and immediately fell in love with the beautiful town of Blue Ridge. He has been a homeowner there since 1993.

Once his competitive tennis playing days were over, Bruce discovered Triathlon, and he has competed in numerous World Championships as a member of Team USA. This not only fed his appetite for athletic competition, but helped him discover the endless miles of trails and backroads in Blue Ridge and Fannin counties while cycling and running. His favorite place to swim is, and always will be, the pristine waters of Lake Blue Ridge, due to its sheer beauty and lack of boating traffic.

Bruce has a tremendous passion for Lake Blue Ridge, and for the gorgeous mountains and lake property surrounding it. He is known for his friendly service and attention to detail, and makes a point of going above and beyond for every one of his clients.

About Lake Blue Ridge

Lake Blue Ridge is a reservoir in North Georgia in the Blue Ridge Mountains with 60 miles of shoreline. It covers 3,300 acres and has a maximum depth of 250 feet.

80% of the shoreline for Lake Blue Ridge is located within the Chattahoochee National Forest. The area boasts over 90 national forest campsites, a marina, several boat ramps, and a public swimming and picnic location.

Bass, walleye, and bluegill are the most sought after sport fish in the lake. Water that exits the dam becomes the Toccoa River, which is a hotspot for trout fishing in the area.

A few miles downstream in Tennessee, the Toccoa becomes the Ocoee, home to world class kayaking and whitewater rafting, perfect for those looking for adventure!

With only 25% of its shoreline developed and the surrounding areas in the Chattahoochee National Forest, Lake Blue Ridge makes for the perfect nature lover's getaway!
