Lake Sylvan is located outside of Sanford in Seminole County, Florida, and spans 188-acres. Deltona, Florida, is 12 miles northeast of Lake Sylvan, and Orlando, Florida, is 22 miles south.

The closest location for emergency care is the Central Florida Regional Hospital, six miles east. The Orlando International Airport is 39 miles south of Lake Sylvan.

Life on the Water

Life on the water here is sweet, as Lake Sylvan has something for everyone! Even though there is a large public park on its shores, the access to the water is for residents only. Some activities enjoyed here are kayaking, boating, waterskiing, swimming, and fishing. Anglers can expect to catch fish like largemouth bass, walking catfish, bluegill, bowfin, and golden shiner.
