Located in Hillsborough County in the state of Florida, Church Lake is a small body of water encompassing only 69 acres. This lake is surrounded by a handful of similarly sized lakes and ponds.

Visitors enjoy exploring the Spanish moss and viewing local wildlife in Rice Creek Swamp. One of the unique aspects of the Rice Creek Conservation Area is a historic levee built for an 18th-century rice plantation that will take visitors along a walk into the heart of the swamp to view the seventh-largest cypress tree in Florida.
