Pepperwood Grove is a fascinating stand of hardwood trees also known as bay or laurel. It is located on the eastern shore of Clear Lake in a small cove. People have always been drawn to this, and a subdivision with small vacation homes with piers was built here decades ago. Most of the piers have been removed now, and the homes in the subdivision are infrequently used.
