About Patchett Lake

Polk County, Arkansas

Patchett Lake is a six-acre private lake in west Arkansas, southeast of Mena. The Arkansas-Oklahoma border is nearby, and Hot Springs is around 75 miles away.

It is 11 minutes from Mena Regional Health System and two and a half hours from Bill and Hillary Clinton National Airport. It is within 15 minutes from Walmart and James Super Save Foods. There are plenty of public schools in Mena, perfect for families looking to settle down.

Lake residents may have private docks to access the water. Anglers can cast in a line to catch the bass, crappie, and bluegill stocked in the lake.

The Great Outdoors

Not far from Patchett Lake is the Ouachita National Forest, an expansive national forest that happens to be the oldest in the country and encompasses over one million acres, including most of the Ouachita Mountain Range. The forest is popular for mountain biking, horseback riding, and hiking.

Campers will enjoy the Coyote Canyon Campgrounds, a highly rated campground open all year with full RV hookups. Some campsites have water, electricity, and sewage, and cabins and hiking trails are also provided by the park.

For a breathtaking but heart-racing adventure, lake residents can visit The Blue, a zipline course on a working cattle farm by the Iron Fork River. The farm is owned by the descendants of the homesteaders who settled there long ago and hosts the Ouachita Bigfoot Festival as well as a Gun and Knife Show annually.

Would you rather spend time digging? The Board Camp Crystal Mine offers above-ground digging for crystals, and you get to keep what you find! Not only that, but visitors can embark on the UnXplained Tour that explores the spooky, unexplained phenomenon that has allegedly occurred on the site.

Ease Your Hunger

Locals in the area love nearby eateries such as the Skyline Cafe, an American diner known for its excellent service and breakfast food.
