This area of Lake Champlain offers some of the cleanest waters in the entire Lake Champlain basin. As an Islander you can walk the 6+ mile island perimeter nature path, socialize with your neighbors or simply be a hermit depending on your lifestyle. Butler Island is only accessible by boat during the Ice Out Season. Most owners utilize their own watercraft for transportation to and from the island, but an on call private ferry service is available out of North Hero’s City Bay.
