567 mile point

Mile Point holds a special place on the Ferrisburgh waterfront. It is one of the few “points” of land in the relatively straight shoreline on Lake Champlain. The Mile Point association includes less than a dozen small parcels along with a 34-acre association owned land parcel. Owned by the same family for multiple generations and offered for the first time, 567 Mile Point Road is sited on a west-facing .5-acre waterfront parcel with a very attractive flat rock ledge shoreline in the “narrows” portion of Lake Champlain at almost the end of the point on a dead-end gravel lane. The spectacular waterfront offers views of the high peaks of the Adirondacks and allows easy access for swimming and boating. There are fossils embedded in the ledge rock and a man-made sandy area to enjoy. A seasonal dock area provides for small boat storage and access. The well-appointed, environmentally friendly seasonal cottage is a 2-story contemporary style residence built in 1968 at the water's edge. It includes 3-4 bedrooms, a kitchen, living room with a floor-to-ceiling Panton stone fireplace, 2 baths, all of which make excellent use of the lake views. Access to the waterfront from the cottage and the rear deck are mere steps away. Enjoy the spectacular sunsets while sitting around the firepit or watch the vast species of birds that frequent the area fly by. The surrounding area has much to offer and is about a mile from the Basin Harbor Club.
