Couchville Lake is in Hermitage, Tennessee, just 13.3 miles from the big city of Nashville.

The Nashville International Airport is 7.8 miles away, and the TriStar Summit Medical Center is 1.9 miles away for easy travel and medical care.

Couchville Lake is part of the Long Hunter State Park, where visitors and residents go to enjoy recreation on and off the water.

Those looking for fun on the 110-acre lake will enjoy taking their kayak or canoe for a spin or fishing off the pier for largemouth bass. While visitors can't swim in the lake, there is a beach area at the nearby Bryant Grove section of the state park.

The 2.2-mile trail around the lake offers beautiful views of the water and the nature surrounding the area. The common sights include deer, various species of birds, frogs, turtles, American mink, and plenty of wildflowers.

The trail also features the Couchville Lake Arboretum, the first state-certified arboretum in a Tennessee State Park. Forty-two species of trees are labeled and identified along the route.
