Time tested Camp Solitude, located on the West Shore of Lake Placid, is one of the best preserved Adirondack Great Camps in the Park. Built in 1897, it served as the Chamber Music School from 1952-1976, when it was run as an 8 week music & recreation camp for boys and girls. It has also been the site of a B&B, drawing adult visitors from around the world.
