The fishing opportunities here are great! The lake has some of the best yellow perch fishing in the state, and it attracts anglers year-round. There are also excellent populations of smallmouth bass, largemouth bass, chain pickerel, hornpout, white perch, and walleye.

The annual 4th of July Boat Parade brings together the whole community for a grand celebration on the lake. The parade has a yearly theme, and prizes are awarded after a tour of the lake.
