Located west of Kirksville, MO between the Thousand Hills State Park and Lake area, and the Chariton River Valley. The area is known for producing trophy size bucks and higher numbers of turkeys in the region. The 40 acre tract is a mix of oak and hickory hardwood ridge tops and ditch bottoms. Access to the off road tract is provided by an owned 15' strip connecting the forty to a gravel county road and by a deeded easement. There is also a deeded easement across the 40. Resident and non-resident hunting license and deer and turkey tags may be purchased over the counter. Most of the adjoining owners near Adair County farms practice deer management for harvesting mature bucks. The farm provides excellent bedding areas and produces a heavy mast crop for holding wildlife on the land.
