When you pull up to the property you will immediately notice an incredible stand of native grasses. Most notably, big blue stem that is over head high. Over 43 acres of the property are enrolled in the Re-Invest in Minnesota (RIM) program. Those acres were burned this spring and the grasses have responded very well. You will notice a dirt trail that will take you back to the wooded acres. Here you will find a 2-acre food plot with beans, corn and clover. Near this plot, you will notice a trail leading into the woods to a second clover food plot. This area has a ton of deer sign, with scrapes and rubs throughout the fall and bedding areas all around. From this food plot you are able to walk east and where you will run into the Cottonwood River. There are some acres on the east side of the river, giving you another option to hunt deer, turkeys or even waterfowl along the river.
