Lake Lemon is a natural splendor, boasting 1,650 acres of water and a shoreline of 24 miles. The lake is 10 feet deep on average but can be as deep as 28 feet. It is the seventh-largest public body of water in the state.

Lake Lemon was built in 1953 to supply Bloomington with drinking water, but it is now strictly recreational.
