Tennessee River - West/Middle TN

Located in McNairy, Perry, Wayne, and Hardin Counties, Tennessee

The Tennessee River stretches 652 miles long and crosses into the states of Tennessee, Alabama, Mississippi, and Kentucky. It has an average depth of nine feet, which makes it the main route for the transportation of flat-bottomed barges. The width can be up to a mile and a half; however, it averages half to a mile in most places.
