Puposky Lake is located in Puposky, Minnesota, 26 miles north of Bemidji. St. Cloud and Duluth can both be reached within three hours. There are a few smaller airfields nearby, but the closest major airport is Duluth International Airport which is, typically, three hours away. Urgent care can be provided at Sanford Bemidji Medical center, 22 minutes away. Snacks and groceries can be found at a Walmart SuperCenter, 22 minutes away. At 2177 acres, Puposky Lake is full of fun opportunities. Popular ways to enjoy the water are fishing, kayaking, canoeing, and swimming. A public boat ramp is located on the northwestern side of Puposky lake. There is also an area for carrying-ins, like kayaks, on the southeastern side. Anglers looking to cast out a line have a chance to catch black bullhead, yellow perch, and northern pike.

Explore the 2915 acres of Three Island County Park. No matter the season, there is always something to do. During the snowy season, coast along the glistering cross-country skiing trails or cruise down the 7 miles of snowmobile trails. When the weather turns warm, go on a horseback ride, run, or take it slow and just sightsee on the many available trails. For those who are more thrill-seeking during the snowy months, take the short drive to Buena Vista Ski Area for some downhill skiing or snowboarding. Tubing is also available on select days.
