Fishing at Lake Union is plentiful with species such as black crappie, largemouth and smallmouth bass, yellow perch, and cutthroat trout. A fun fact about Lake union is that migratory salmon and steelhead trout use the lake as a pathway to Lake Washington and Lake Sammamish.

Fun in Seattle

Because Seattle is such a large city, there is so much to see, learn and experience! The Chihuly Garden and Glass art gallery museum is a dream. It has amazing sculptures of various sizes filled in the museum and is a community favorite.

Another infamous experience in Seattle is the Museum of Flight. This historical museum has many aircraft from throughout history to include WWII and Cold War retired aircraft. The stories from these aircraft make the Museum of Flight an incredible experience.

Lastly, the Pike Place Market is another community favorite and is one of the oldest continuously operated public farmer’s markets in the states. The market opened in 1907 and is still open to this day!

Finally, traveling is made easy at Lake Union due to its proximity to airports. The Seattle-Tacoma International Airport is just 16.1 miles from the lake and the King County International Airport is only 8.3 miles from the lake.
