About Lake Manassas
Located in Prince William County, Virginia, Lake Manassas is a 700 acre reservoir that is owned and operated by the city of Manassas. The lake was created in the late 1960s and was open to the public from 1980-1995. In 1999 the only marina on the lake closed making the lake inaccessible. In 2004 the City Council decided to make it illegal to boat on the lake. Although attempts have been made to reopen the lake, it remains off limits.
