Spanning only 109 acres with a maximum depth of 95 feet, South Pond provides its residents with a comfortable, private place to relax.

Popular activities include boating, kayaking, canoeing, swimming, fishing, and taking in the views. Many homes have docks, but a public access point is on the western side of the water.

Anglers can find eastern brook trout, rainbow trout, lake trout, smallmouth bass, largemouth bass, eastern chain pickerel, brown bullhead, burbot, and yellow perch.

One popular attraction is Frost Place, where visitors can learn all about American poet Robert Frost through several displays about his life.

Another popular attraction is Jericho Outdoors, where visitors can rent an ATV to ride out through the beautiful Jericho State Park.

Visit Portland

The nearby city of Portland, Maine is teeming with history, great food, and museums.

A great draw is Old Port. This neighborhood has cobblestone roads and still features some original buildings from the 19th century. With great shopping and only steps away from the wharf, which brings in some of the best seafood in the world, Old Port is a must-visit destination.
