Lake Phalen is 197 acres in size with a maximum depth of 91 feet. The lake contains three miles of shoreline, plenty of space for lake fun.

This large, scenic lake is perfect for fishing, sailing, and boating, encircled by a three-mile paved bike trail. A public access point is on the northwestern side of the water.

Anglers can find black bullhead, bluegill, brown bullhead, channel catfish, green sunfish, largemouth bass, northern pike, pumpkinseed, sauger, walleye, white bass, white crappie, yellow bullhead, yellow perch, and more.

Phalen Regional Park spans 494 acres on the western side of the lake. It features an amphitheater, sports fields, sports courts, trails, a boat launch, a fishing pier, a golf course, the Phalen China Garden, a hockey rink, an activities center, picnic areas, a playground, restrooms, a skating rink, a splash pad, and a beach area.
