Pelican Lake's immense beauty and various activities make it one of the most desired lakes of Minnesota.

Breezy Point is on its western shore, where you will find lakeside restaurants, along with convenience stores, gas stations, and the Breezy Point Airport.

Brainerd is approximately 20 miles south of the lake, where restaurants, shops, and hotels are abundant. It also houses the Central Lakes College, Brainerd Lakes Regional Airport, and Essential Health Hospital.

Great Blue Waters

With 8,637 acres of surface area, Pelican Lake is the largest lake of Crow Wing County and the Brainerd Lake Area's second-largest. The lake stretches for five miles and has 28 miles of shoreline. It can be as deep as 104 feet but is typically about 15 feet deep.

This clear-water paradise houses many high-end homes and resorts. As a sand-bottom lake, it has many beaches and shallow areas for swimming.

Endless Lake Enjoyment

While beaching and swimming are popular activities at Pelican Lake, it is also busy with boating, water skiing, jet skiing, wakeboarding, sailing, kayaking, and more.

Anglers also adore Pelican Lake for its significant populations of walleye. The lake bottom has many dips and ridges that serve as breeding grounds for bluegill, largemouth bass, cisco, northern pike, black crappie, and perch.

Breezy Point Boat Marina rents out boats from deluxe pontoons to kayaks and paddleboards. In the winter, you can rent one of their heated ice-houses, with a cooktop stove, for luxurious ice fishing.

The public can enjoy the lake at Pelican Lake Public Beach or Velvet Beach Park.

Breezy Point Resort puts on Ice Fest every year, including a kids ice-fishing tournament, broomball, snow golf, an ice slide, sleigh rides, bonfires, and more.

Whitebirch Golf Course, Breezy Point Golf Course, and Deacon's Golf Course are nearby.
