I LOVE this area in which I live and I think you'll fall in love with it too!
Fort Loudon Lake, Tellico Lake, Watts Bar Lake and Melton Hill Lake areas are not only where I sell but this is MY home where I, as well as my two daughters, have grown up living and playing on these lakes! I have a vested interest in this area and I LOVE these lakes!!
I live on Fort Loudon Lake and have grown up boating, skiing, swimming, fishing and camping on Tellico, Fort Loudon, Watts Bar, and Melton Hill Lakes. This area is commonly referred to as "The Lake Capital of the South" and we offer a wide array of both on lake recreational activities as well as off lake recreational activities. We are also known as one of the Gateways to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park which is one of the most visited parks in this great nation!
Fort Loudon Lake offers many waterfront neighborhoods, marinas, restaurants and special events which draw not only locals but many visitors each season to the area. Tellico Lake offers several upscale communities like Tellico Village and Rarity Bay which attract an array of retirees from all over the nation due to our midsouth location, low tax, superior medical facilities and expansive offering of activities for retirees. Watts Bar Lake is the Hidden Gem of this area but it is quickly being discovered by many with new waterfront communities springing up each year. Melton Hill Lake is well known for several excellent camping and fishing areas along its shoreline. Indoor and outdoor dining, weekend bands, trivia, karaoke, poker runs, and more throughout the year are offered on one or more of these lakes.
While all of these lakes offer swimming, boating, fishing, fishing tournaments, water skiing, camping, golfing, and beautiful wildlife, they each possess their own uniqueness!

Tellico Lake stretches 33 miles along the Little Tennessee River into the mountains of east Tennessee and is home to several large upscale lakefront communities, neighborhoods and marinas. The lake has 357 miles of shoreline and 15,560 acres of water surface.
The Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) has banned all development for residential use on the properties surrounding Tellico Lake that have not already been sold. The ban makes properties being developed along Tellico now prime real estate in East Tennessee. Also unique is the lake's location along a chain of lakes connecting to the Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway that travels all the way down to the Gulf of Mexico and Atlantic Ocean.
Tellico Lake offers year-round recreation including: boating, fishing, waterskiing, jet skiing, swimming, camping, public parks, public lake access areas and much more. Tennessee's mild four-season climate makes it possible to boat throughout the year. In addition to the lake the area is also great for golf and hiking.
No matter what you are looking for in a lake home, Tellico Lake has something for everyone!
