About Les:

Les loves real estate because he says it is very rewarding to serve others at critical moments of transition in their lives. "I mean, think about it, people buying or selling a lake home are usually on the cusp of a dream come true!

What a thrill, as Lake Homes agents, to help equip buyers and sellers achieve those dreams!" Furthermore, Les considers his job, as he has every job; an act of service. He has been a Company Commander of a Tactical Operations Center in the Persian Gulf, an Executive Director of a Medical Research Foundation, an Advancement Officer for a Private School and a Professional Sports Chaplain for the National Hockey League.

"In every industry, I have always been in service to others or to a greater cause. Real estate is no different. What the customer wants from those who serve them is not only great research and information, but they want someone who has a track record of being truthful, punctual and doing what they say they will do."

About Bonnie:

Bonnie comes from a real estate family with almost 7 decades of combined service to the industry! She has also been an elementary school teacher and art teacher for the past 15 years.

Bonnie does a fantastic job by bringing incredible attention to detail with a smile and an artful flare to every deal. She loves the waterfront lake community because of its ability to draw together an incredible group of highly talented and accomplished individuals.

"You get to meet truly exceptional people who are letting their guards down to finally enjoy life with family and friends...we love it here!" Bonnie believes that selling at the lake is easy because it is easy to sell something that you love.

"You know, the people that come here, they are sharp individuals. They really do see you for what you are, so I just let them see how much I love my lake and the next thing you know...new neighbors!"

About Lake Gaston

Frequent with Family or Retire with Leisure

Lake Gaston, a 20,300 acre lake at the North Carolina and Virginia border, was originally built in 1963 for flood control and hydroelectric power. However, it serves wonderfully for recreational enjoyment such as fishing, boating, swimming, water skiing, wakeboarding and kayaking. Since 1970, this lake has been a popular retirement destination. With 350 miles of beautiful shoreline, it is easy to see why.

Perfect Location

Lake Gaston is frequented by patrons who describe the lake as one of their favorite vacation spots, thanks in large part to its close proximity to larger cities and easy access from nearby I-85 and I-95.

Excellent Fishing

The largemouth population of Lake Gaston is plenty, as is the walleye and striped bass. The walleye population is supplied by the Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries, so a decent number of catches are inevitable. Also, striped bass are annually stocked by the North Carolina Wildlife Resource Commission. With other fish such as channel catfish, blue catfish, chain pickerel and bluegill, anglers have many reasons to return. There are plenty of tournaments to choose from as well.

Boaters Welcome

With numerous marinas and public boat ramps, boaters will find that Gaston Lake is the best for fun on the water. At 34 miles long, the lake provides plenty of room to play. With average summer temperatures of 76.5 degrees, it is the perfect place to explore and swim. The water levels are regulated by Dominion Power, so the average depths of 40 feet and deepest points of 95 feet do not fluctuate. Lake islands such as Wobble Island and Goat Island provide much to explore.

Variety of Recreation

Because Lake Gaston is surrounded by interesting towns such as Emporia and South Hill, the local lifestyle is rich in American History. After a busy day on the lake, you can dine at excellent local restaurants and unique, charming shops. Visit nearby Whittle's Mill, a dam and mill built in 1805 or see the Greensville County Courthouse, which was constructed in 1781. There are also several golf courses in the area for a relaxing day on the greens. Whatever your interests, Lake Gaston has something for everyone year round.
