About Les:

Les loves real estate because he says it is very rewarding to serve others at critical moments of transition in their lives. "I mean, think about it, people buying or selling a lake home are usually on the cusp of a dream come true!

What a thrill, as Lake Homes agents, to help equip buyers and sellers achieve those dreams!" Furthermore, Les considers his job, as he has every job; an act of service. He has been a Company Commander of a Tactical Operations Center in the Persian Gulf, an Executive Director of a Medical Research Foundation, an Advancement Officer for a Private School and a Professional Sports Chaplain for the National Hockey League.

"In every industry, I have always been in service to others or to a greater cause. Real estate is no different. What the customer wants from those who serve them is not only great research and information, but they want someone who has a track record of being truthful, punctual and doing what they say they will do."

About Bonnie:

Bonnie comes from a real estate family with almost 7 decades of combined service to the industry! She has also been an elementary school teacher and art teacher for the past 15 years.

Bonnie does a fantastic job by bringing incredible attention to detail with a smile and an artful flare to every deal. She loves the waterfront lake community because of its ability to draw together an incredible group of highly talented and accomplished individuals.

"You get to meet truly exceptional people who are letting their guards down to finally enjoy life with family and friends...we love it here!" Bonnie believes that selling at the lake is easy because it is easy to sell something that you love.

"You know, the people that come here, they are sharp individuals. They really do see you for what you are, so I just let them see how much I love my lake and the next thing you know...new neighbors!"

About Roanoke Rapids Lake

Roanoke Rapids Lake is an impounded reservoir located on the Roanoke River in Halifax County, NC. It is just downstream from Lake Gaston and offers a wide variety of recreational activities from boating to swimming.

Amenities Galore

The highlight of the lake is the Roanoke Lake Day Use Park, a 17-acre lake front recreation area opened in the spring of 2007. The beautiful facility offers picnic shelters, restrooms, a playground, sand volleyball, a nine-hole Frisbee golf course, a handicapped accessible fishing pier, a 1/2 mile wooded nature loop trail, and ample parking. There is also access to the Roanoke Canal Trail head, a 7-mile long trail that passes a historic aqueduct.

Bring the Boat

A boat dock and boat launch allow visitors to play and cruise on the lake's beautiful water. Fishing for panfish, bluegill, redear, and largemouth bass is also popular at the lake, or head up-river where you can find an abundance of rockfish between March and May. Frequent visitors agree that the lake is a great spot to catch a lovely sunrise or sunset.

A Bird-Watcher's Paradise

Roanoke Rapids Lake boasts a variety of waterfowl, shorebirds, and freshwater marsh birds for bird-watching enthusiasts to enjoy. The best time to view waterfowl like the ruddy duck, canvasback, hooded merganser, and ring-necked duck is between October and April. For shorebirds, visit between July and September when the lake levels may be more shallow and you can find mudflats. Between May and July is the best time to view the marsh birds like king rails and marsh wrens.

A Lake For the Whole Family

No Matter what the occasion, a lake house on Roanoke Rapids Lake is the place to be. Roanoke Rapids Lake is waiting for you!
