Short Drive to the City

Ticoa Lake is part of Connestee Falls, a gated mountain club community in Dunns Rock, North Carolina near the North Carolina-South Carolina border.

While it appears to be a remote location, it is under 10 miles from Brevard. For big-city adventures, Asheville and Greenville, South Carolina are under 45 miles.

Make a short drive to Brevard for a great choice of restaurants and shops along with Brevard College, public schools, and Transylvania Regional Hospital.

The Asheville Regional Airport is 30 miles away, and the Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport is 50 miles away.

A Wondrous Location

Featuring four mountain lakes, waterfalls, hiking trails, and a full-service clubhouse, Connestee Falls feels more like a resort than a neighborhood.

With over 60 resident clubs and groups, it is easy to make new friends in the community.

Ticoa Lake covers 75 acres and reaches depths of 92 feet. The other lakes in the community are Lake Atagahi of 80 acres, Lake Wanteska of 45 acres, and Lake Tiaroga of 31 acres.

Each lake is annually stocked with a variety of gamefish to keep the anglers happy. Without gasoline motors on the water, it is easy to keep them pristine.

The boat launching ramps make it easy to slip off into the water. When you are done paddling around, there are storage areas where you can leave your watercraft.

A Hole-in-One

Some say that Connestee Falls is like a private state park. Residents can explore over 14 miles of hiking trails with majestic waterfalls, creeks, and mountain vistas.

Lake Atagahi Park includes a swimming beach, covered pavilion, BBQ grills, and sporting courts.

Along with an 18-hole golf course, there are tennis and pickleball courts, a bar, sports grill, wellness center, gym, and swimming pool.

Explore Asheville

Asheville is a great destination for outdoor adventures, science routes, and cultural experiences for you and the family.

Visitors can take a tour to learn the history of the city by trolley or walking. Other options include exploring the shopping scene at the Grove Market or indulging in the culinary creations at Isa’s French Bistro or Jettie Rae’s Oyster House.

The most famous tourist attraction in Asheville would be the Biltmore Estate. Explore the acres of gardens, walking, biking, or hiking trails around the estate. There is also a winery and playground available to visitors.

Greenville is the thriving center of upstate South Carolina and is home to countless entertainment options, making it an idyllic setting for any daycation.

Greenville visitors can take in the natural aesthetic of the Falls Park on the Reedy in the downtown Historic West End. The park is home to beautiful waterfalls, gardens, and unique public sculptures.
