Tim has over 30 years of experience in the residential construction industry specializing in millwork and cabinetry. This gives him a unique perspective when working with buyers and sellers. About High Rock Lake

A Short Drive from the City

High Rock Lake is conveniently off of Interstate 85 between Greensboro and Charlotte, North Carolina. Each city boasts a lively nightlife scene along with major airports and hospitals.

Over 15,000 Acres of Water

As the second largest lake in the state, High Rock Lake branches out across 15,180 acres. The lake has 365 miles of shoreline, an average depth of 16 feet, and a maximum depth of 52 feet.


The lake was named after the neighboring High Rock Mountain. The wooded shores and mountainous landscapes create scenery worth capturing.

High Rock Lake is best known for its largemouth bass, but it also holds well-sized channels, blue and flathead catfish, crappie, and hybrid white bass.


It has been a four-time host of the Bassmasters Classic along with many other fishing tournaments.


Its massive size also makes it a popular location for power boating, jet skiing, pontooning, water skiing, wakeboarding, and plenty of other activities.


Several marinas, boat launches, and campgrounds make it easy to visit High Rock Lake.

Charlotte is home to Carowinds Theme Park, U.S. National Whitewater Center, NASCAR Hall of Fame, Discovery Place Science, the Billy Graham Library, and many other attractions.


Greensboro features beautiful parks and gardens and the Greensboro Science Center, Children’s Museum, Wet’n Wild Water Park, and Weatherspoon Art Museum.
