On and Around the Lake

Beaver Lake spans 300 acres and has depths up to 50 feet. The lake is only used by residents and their guests, making this a private oasis.

Popular activities include boating, tubing, skiing, wakeboarding, and fishing. Anglers can find muskellunge, largemouth bass, walleye, smallmouth bass, hybrid bass, flathead catfish, blue catfish, channel catfish, bullhead catfish, white crappie, black crappie, bluegill, yellow perch, green sunfish, gizzard shad, rudd, common carp, and freshwater drum.

The Beaver Lake Association offers several amenities to its lake residents, such as the beautiful clubhouse used for monthly meetings that lake residents are welcome to attend.

Additionally, there is an outdoor pool that can be rented for events. The lake also features pavilions, onsite campgrounds, and walking trails.

City of Plattsmouth

When you're not out enjoying the lake, you can take time to explore all that Plattsmouth has to offer.

Spend the day at the Twin Rivers Water Park, or go on a historic ghost tour offered by the Museum of Shadows.

Speaking of history, Plattsmouth was a part of the famed Lewis and Clark Expedition. They passed the Platte River in 1804, just north of what is now Maine Street.

“The Gateway to the West”

Omaha is the largest city in Nebraska. It was founded by speculators along the Missouri River and was dubbed “The Gateway to the West.”

The Old Market district preserves Omaha's historic section, featuring cobbled streets and well-preserved buildings. The district includes numerous restaurants, art galleries, and upscale shopping.

Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo is a zoo famous for its dedicated breeding of endangered species from around the globe. It includes many popular animals such as bears, giraffes, rhinos, and gorillas.
