If you are looking for someone with knowledge about the Northeastern Minnesota Real Estate market, you've found the right person. Kris has been a lifelong resident of the Iron Range and knows the area as well as anyone. He enjoys the area lakes, the scenery, the people, and the serenity Northeastern Minnnesota offers.

Besides being a Realtor, Kris is also an appraiser, so he is able to give a broader perspective to buyers as they try to narrow down properties that that fits their needs at the price they want to spend. As a member of the Team, Kris loves the fact that he is working for a company that has powerful online presence, allowing his buyers to search through thousands of properties from the comfort of their homes... and giving his sellers the added exposure needed to properly market these unique properties. As you will find out once you get to know him, he is all about "great service," and making the entire process go smoothly for his clients.

With a degree in Electrical Maintenance and Construction, Kris has added knowledge in many aspects of a home's structure and mechanical integrity. So, besides being able to help determining the proper value of the home, he can be helpful in pointing out good and bad features that go along with the property.

But Kris doesn't limit his interests to just real estate. As an avid curler for 12 years, he has played in World Championship events, and hopes to eventually medal in the Olympics. He enjoys the strategies and social aspects of curling, which he says are similar to real estate: "If you spend a little time upfront studying the buyer's needs, and you truly enjoy getting to know them, you will end up with a happy client - and very possibly a new friend - in the end."

Kris obviously has a lot of knowledge about life and how to treat people well. Whether you are looking to buy, sell, or just learn how to curl, Kris would be happy to help you out.

About Virginia / Hibbing Area

From Hibbing to Virginia

Minnesota Highway 169 runs through Hibbing, Chisholm, Buhl, and Virginia, a close-knit group of towns that share a significant number of small, recreational lakes.

Each of the cities has restaurants, shops, grocery stores, and other typical establishments.

Hibbing is convenient for the Fairview Medical Center, an extensive school system, and Mann’s Cinema 8. Virginia houses several box stores along with unique downtown shops.

The Itasca Airport and Grand Itasca Hospital are 30 minutes to an hour west on Highway 169.

A Relaxed Lake Environment

The Hibbing-Virginia Lake Area is a recreational atmosphere that is excellent for those who enjoy small-town life.

Most of the city lakes like Kelly Lake, Longyear Lake, Silver Lake, and Virginia Lake are used by residents that enjoy kayaking, canoeing, and fishing.

Ely Lake, Saint Marys Lake, and Mcquade Lake are larger bodies of water where pontooning, motorboating, water skiing, and tubing can be done.

Sabin Lake is the most popular vacation destination, home to resorts, rental cabins, and the Giants Ridge Ski-Resort and Hiking Area.

Lake Ore-be-Gone, located east of Virginia, is a popular hangout because of its magically blue waters. It does not offer any properties, but the public has access to a beach, boat launch, pier, and waterside trails.

Something for Everyone

The RedHead Mountain Biking Trail is a popular trail for bikers of all skill levels. The city also hosts the Saint Louis County Fair.

Golfers will enjoy having the Virginia Golf Course nearby--a log clubhouse and restaurant accompany the 18-hole course.

The Sturgeon River and Cloquet Valley Woods are just a few miles outside of the city. The George Washington and Kabetogama State Forest are further north.

A Peaceful Escape

Anywhere around Virginia or Hibbing is a great place to raise a family or retire because you will never be far from city conveniences or outdoor excursions.
