Following a nonprofit career, Jesse entered the real estate world to return to his passions of marketing and helping people one-on-one.

With years of high-end hospitality experience from as far away as San Francisco, New Orleans and the Virgin Islands to small-farm advocacy at the state capitol, Jesse has worked with a diverse group of talented people. However, it's his work within rural Minnesota and the Grand Rapids community that has been the most rewarding.

A garlic farmer on a fourth-generation family farm in Trout Lake Township, Jesse has 10+ years experience working with off-grid power systems and sees tremendous potential for renewables at both full-time homes and vacation properties.

Jesse is actively involved in the Grand Rapids and Deer River Farmers' Markets and the Itasca Community Garden. An advocate for the arts in Greater Itasca County, Jesse is also principal violist for the Itasca Symphony Orchestra.

Having grown up in Colorado Springs, Jesse is frequently asked, "Why would he want to be up here?" He says, "There are so many reasons: the scenery, the fresh air, lots of open spaces - but more than anything it's the people and the sense of community. Plus, there are so many opportunities to get involved and make an impact... and that often doesn't happen in a big city where people are so disconnected from each other."

Whether listing your home or finding the perfect property, put Jesse's extensive customer service experience, strong community connections and Drake University advertising degree to work for you.

About Trout Lake - Trout Lake Twp

Minutes from Grand Rapids

Trout Lake is located approximately 10 miles east of Grand Rapids off of Highway 169.

The town of Coleraine borders the north end of the lake, where there are typical city establishments along with schools. Grand Rapids boasts a greater list of conveniences, including the Grand Itasca Hospital and Itasca County Airport.

Forested Shores and Sparkling Waters

Past the town of Coleraine, houses are few and far between on Trout Lake. The combination of sparkling waters and tall, green trees makes for excellent views.

On the waters, people enjoy pontooning, motorboating, fishing, and swimming. Behind the boats, you will see people water skiing, tubing, and wakeboarding.

Cotton Beach is located on the north shore where people swim, suntan, and relax all day. It is also a great place to set out in a kayak or canoe.

It is also a year-round fishery, holding walleye populations, northern pike, trout, largemouth bass, and perch.

Fun Off the Water

A golfer will be happy to know that the Eagle Ridge Golf Course is on the western shore of Trout Lake. It is a well-maintained 18-hole course perfect for putting around.

The Mt. Itasca Winter Sports Center is nearby, where there are hills for skiing, snowboarding, or tubing, along with a ski jump and ice skating area.

In Grand Rapids, you can explore the Judy Garland Museum, Children’s Discovery Museum, Macrostie Art Center, and Historic Century School.

A Delightful Lake

Offering year-round recreation, Trout Lake is a lovely location to raise a family, retire, or have a rental property.
