There are countless&nbsp;<\/span><a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/lakehomes.com\/info\/articles-and-news\/fun-ways-utilize-screened-porch\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">ways to use it<\/span><\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">. &#8220;It doesn&#8217;t have to be nice weather to enjoy it,&#8221; homeowner Barb Kurz told the&nbsp;<\/span><a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/archive\/realestate\/2004\/05\/15\/screened-porches-still-make-sense\/c28c8206-c749-40dc-b1da-567f898f0bb7\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Washington Post<\/span><\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">&nbsp;in an article about screened porch popularity. &#8220;Let&#8217;s face it; there&#8217;s a limited time to be completely outside.&#8221; During the fall, these systems are especially appealing. Now, you can choose among a wide variety of screen types. To remedy this, lake homeowners have invested in heavy-duty screens with larger openings. Guerry says, &#8220;A design trend that we see is larger openings of 12 to 15 feet in the screened porch. It&#8217;s popular in Florida, but now we see it everywhere.
