Advertising Sales Representative

Seeking a persuasive Advertising Sales Representative for a new quarterly nation-wide magazine product aimed at the lake lifestyle market.

This positions needs an outstanding prospector to reach out to potential advertisers in multiple verticals. The advertising sales representative's responsibilities include identifying clients' needs, researching competitors' advertising services, products, and prices, and responding to potential clients’ inquiries. You will also provide clients with cost estimates of the products or services required.

To be successful in this role, you should demonstrate effective communication skills and build rapport with clients. Ultimately, you should achieve excellent customer service and continually meet or exceed sales quotas.

Advertising Sales Representative Responsibilities:

  • Building and sustaining long-lasting relationships with prospects who become clients.
  • Researching prospect’s products or services and determining the geographic location of the majority of their target customers.
  • Setting up meetings through calls, Zoom, and correspondence to present advertising proposals and address prospect concerns.
  • Assisting the marketing team in the preparation of media kits and promotional plans.
  • Attending sales meetings, trade shows, and training workshops as required.
  • Persuading clients to purchase company advertising products and services by communicating the benefits of our advertising.
  • Working with the graphics team to prepare sample advertisements for clients.

Advertising Sales Representative Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in advertising, communications, or related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience working as an advertising sales representative preferably in the magazine space
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications
  • Sound knowledge of marketing principles and techniques
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills
  • Strong negotiation and consultative sales skills
  • Effective communication skills
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Salary plus commission

Salary - Commensurate with experience
