Goodson Prairie is located in Putnam County, Florida, just five miles south of Keystone Heights. In Keystone Heights, you will find restaurants, schools, churches, shops, and more.

Gainesville Regional Airport, Veterans Hospital, and the University of Florida are approximately 25 miles west of the lake. St Augustine Beach is 50 miles east.

Glorious Landscapes

Goodson Prairie is a large flooded area that is abundant with wildlife and moss-draped trees. It is a beautiful scene to overlook, especially at sunrise and sunset.

The Palatka-Lake Butler State Trail passes over the prairie, allowing many others to enjoy its beauty. The trail is great for hiking, biking, horseback, riding, and rollerblading.

White-tailed deer, foxes, otters, squirrels, and even alligators can be spotted in the lake area.

Fun In Keystone Heights

Keystone Beach is located on Lake Geneva, one of the many sand-bottom lakes in Keystone Heights. The beach is a great spot to soak up the sun or have a picnic.

The Geneva Jungle, a large wooden play fort, is located next to it. Several picnic tables are shaded by trees hung with Spanish moss.

Lake Santa Fe is just outside of Keystone Heights. The 5,850-acre expanse is popular for powerboating, watersports, fishing, and swimming.
