Patty has always lived or owned property on a lake, so specializing in waterfront properties as a real estate professional was just a natural transition. From the expanses of Mille Lacs, to the much more confined borders of Silver Lake in North St. Paul – along with acreage on Lake Vermilion, her current home on South Center Lake, and her cabin on Balsam Lake in Northwest Wisconsin – she has experienced a wide variety of lake living.

When you ask Patty about what she enjoys most about life on the water, her response is something like this: “My favorite thing to do is cruise the lake in my pontoon with the radio tuned to the oldies station, and to do a little fishing and swimming along the way.” It is the type of relaxed experience that so many others crave as they dream about living on the lake, so Patty is able to give them a “verbal tour” of what being on water is all about.

After 30 years of working in the medical field, Patty retired from that industry and decided that she needed something to do that would entail helping people with a happy and fun experience, which was not as common in her first career. While choosing a path in real estate, she realized that working with lake home buyers and sellers is an enjoyable undertaking for both her and her clients, and the wide variety of property types and interesting waterfront structures always makes the search for the perfect lake home or cabin quite an adventure.

But although she loves working with lakeshore buyers and sellers, Patty also finds a lot of fulfillment in helping first time buyers. She says, “They are always so excited to get into their first home, and it is a special feeling when they actually get the keys to their first place!”
